GA Stockdog Association Spring Trial

April 19-20, 2008

Windy Hill Farm, Dawson, GA

The GA Stockdog Association’s spring trial was held at Tom and Lawana Friddell’s gorgeous Windy Hill Farm in Dawson, GA. We were very fortunate to have Mr. Bill Coburn judging the classes in which he did a great job.  We appreciate his tireless efforts in sorting out the runs for the placements.

This year thanks to ABCA Promotional Money we were able to have a Combined Overall Champion, as well as 100% payback in the Open Class.

The springtime weather was perfect for trialing. Upon arrival Friday we were treated to a wonderful supper “donated” by Jim Shepard and his family, for which everyone was very appreciative. Good job Jim!

Saturday morning was overcast with a little rain here and there, but the skies cleared by noon.

 The sheep on the larger field for all classes except Novice proved to be a challenge which got the best of quite a few handlers and their dogs. That’s trialing!

We would like to thank all the club members that helped out during the trial, Tom and Lawana Friddell for the use of their farm, Jim Shepard for a great meal and Mr. Bill Coburn for his judging expertise
